Established, respected, successful international Medical Cosmeceutical company seeks a Medical Affairs Advisor to  coordinate the direction, planning, and execution of the US Medical Affairs strategy for a popular Dermatologist-recommended, clinically-validated line of OTC Skincare products.

They are a leader in their niche and have an extensive line of innovative, science-based products that physicians recommend to their patients. The firm’s Cosmeceutical product line is extensive, addressing both Aesthetic and Therapeutic solutions. Applications include Anti-Aging, Eczema, Acne, Dry Skin, Sun Care, Body Care and more.

 

Responsibilities (partial)
KOL Engagement & Publications

  • Develop an annual operating plan for Medical affairs activities
  • Build and foster relationships with US Key Opinion Leaders
  • Facilitate scientific communication in medical events, overseeing clinical studies, publications
  • Establish partnerships with patient advocacy groups
  • Ensure alignment of these initiatives w/new developments and launches of Cosmeceutical products
  • Exchange scientific information with medical professionals and organization via scientific Advisory Board (or Round Table), Symposia, Investigators training, and targeted communication
  • Ensure medical input in cross-functional activities (Medical Representatives, Training, Marketing…)
  • Serve as the scientific support for internal teams by contributing to the development and implementation of a medical plan and when applicable, reviewing promotional activities
  • Prepare and conduct medical trainings for employees
  • Develop and implement Patient-Centric activities in collaboration with patient organizations
  • May work with additional product lines

 

Requirements (partial)

  • Doctorate degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is required, will consider RN with Medical Affairs experience
  • Medical Affairs experience with OTC Skincare/Medical Cosmeceuticals /Medical Aesthetics a plus
  • Experience in scientific communication preferably in medical detailing setting
  • Knowledge of clinical medicine, the disease treatment process as well as medical research in at least one therapeutic area; Dermatology preferred
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and clinical studies
  • Ability to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and to conduct medical meetings
  • Experience on a position with similar scope of responsibility will be an asset
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight trips
